Objectifs
The course deals with the long nineteenth century in Britain and the twentieth century in the United States. The aim is to define and explore the concept of "radicalism" in these two contexts, and to illustrate this with reference to the main radical groups and political parties, their principal actions and their political legacy.

The course deals with the history of women in the United States in the 20th century.
